Ingredients:
- 1 c. butter, room temperature
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1 c. ground pecans
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream butter until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add sugar.
- Cream well.
- Blend in vanilla.
- Gradually add flour.
- Add ground nuts.
- Once blended, roll into 1-inch balls.
- Place balls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet and flatten (A heavy glass can be used to flatten the cookies. Place wax paper between glass and dough.)
- Cookies may be topped with pecan halves, if desired.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until brown.
- Be careful not to overcook!
